We seek partners and collaborators that want to incorporate participatory design methods and tools into their initiative by including people with lived experience in the process. Our current research interests include: projects that gather, centre and highlight stories as research knowledge/evidence; projects that seek to engage people and communities that are often missed and that may benefit from creative strategies for collaboration; collaborations to support Indigenous-led projects and initiatives; and projects related to aging and dementia that are inclusive and participatory.
All project collaborations with HDL require funding to support our work. Projects are often funded directly by partner organizations or through grant or donor funding.

We primarily hire undergraduate and graduate students in design programs from Emily Carr on an ongoing basis. All job postings are emailed to current students and posted on our Instagram page.
Prospective graduate students should reach out to our Grad Studies department to learn more about ECUAD’s Master of Design Program. Once accepted into the program, students are eligible to apply for RA opportunities. To contact the graduate office department click here.
